Do you know a place where you can gift or receive a smile, no? Well then, we are here to change your no, with our precious campaign by Project Gudiya GIFT A SMILE we exactly did what the name suggested. We encouraged our volunteers to go out there and gift smiles. This campaign was immensely supported by our volunteers, well-wishers and they enjoyed the whole process thoroughly. Project Gudiya did a wonderful job organizing this campaign. They encouraged the volunteers to gift a small token of smile to any girl child around them, not just a gift but they cheered the volunteers to talk to the child about their dreams and aspirations, their challenges and guide them at the naive age they are in. The volunteers took the job head over the heels and gave full justice to the campaign. The little girls smiled when they received books, stationery and hygiene items etc, as gifts. The volunteers also recorded their conversations, snapped some amazing pictures and shared their wonderful experience with the whole team.
This campaign not only distributed smiles but also gave our volunteers a first-hand experience about the ground reality of girls’ education, health and their challenges.
One child said “I want to become a doctor.” another said “I want to become a pilot.” “I want to become an IAS Officer.” “I want to become a teacher.” All these little girls have aspirations bigger than them, which is inspiring and applauding. After the campaign some of our volunteers noticed that many little girls have big dreams and aspirations but they worry about reaching their dreams because of their personal or financial issues. Through this campaign we gave them a temporary smile but we are thriving to give them, the daughters of India, a lifetime of smiles. We want to become a medium through which all the little girls with big dreams will be able to find the right guidance and inspiration so that they will never give up on their dreams and they will never doubt their potential. We look forward to the day where all the little girls who we gifted smiles will have Doctor or Professor or IAS or Officer or painter or dancer in front of their names.
